Motion Transmission and Control

Various mechanisms are used in vehicles to transmit and control movement. One of these mechanisms is wires. Wires are used to transmit motion from one place to another.

Clutch Cable

The clutch cable transmits the movement from the engine to the transmission. In this way, the driver can change the vehicle's gears. The clutch cable is housed in a rubber sheath. This sheath prevents the wire from abrasion and breakage.

Hand Brake Cable

The parking brake cable allows the driver to stop the vehicle with the parking brake. The parking brake cable prevents the vehicle from moving by compressing the brake pads on the rear wheels. The parking brake cable is housed in a rubber sheath. This sheath prevents the wire from abrasion and breakage.

Other Wires

Other wires are used to control various mechanisms. For example, the hood opening cable allows us to open the engine hood. The throttle cable allows the vehicle to accelerate.

Care of Wires

Wires are parts that require regular maintenance. Maintenance of wires includes the following:

• Checking the wear and breakage of the wires.
• Checking the wear and breakage of the rubber sheaths of the wires.
• Checking the looseness of the connection points of the wires.

If the wires become worn or broken, they must be replaced with new ones. Maintenance of the wires should be done by an expert technician.
